Premiering: Lucy's new branding for Youth Film Festival Antwerp
JEF festival gets a total makeover. From now on, JEF festival will be called Youth Film Festival Antwerp, and with that comes a completely new visual identity. The 36th edition of the festival will take place in February 2024. Just like the previous years, you will experience this annual film festival for children and youngsters in Antwerp and on tour in Ghent, Bruges, Leuven, Kortrijk, Roeselare and Hamme.

Mascotte
After visiting the Youth Film Festival, each child takes home his or her own "filled backpack" full of experiences and ideas. The lead role is therefore reserved for a mascot who carries stories with him or her.
With this in mind, Lucy created the completely new visual identity and, at the same time, the campaign image for the 36th edition. The walking mascot will return every year.
“This festival is about much more than just film. You're also going to be able to discover games, interactive installations, workshops,.... We chose to play with this diversity and translated it into a universe of emojis in a purified illustration style. Great for little ones, but still in the lifeworld of young people. We have more than 2,000 icons to choose from, so we can vary endlessly and tell new stories every time, without losing recognition," says Jan Sidgwick, Design Director at Lucy.
